BAY SUMMER ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM- PLANT DRIVE
In the summer of 2015, BAY embarked on a summer program with a focus on the beautification of Belmopan City. This program lasted for three weeks and employed over 90 youths throughout this period.
The initial group started out by going house to house in the different parts of Belmopan asking for plant and monetary donations. After an accumulation of plants, they began planting in the areas such as the Maya Mopan Football Field, Mae Gordon Park, and the street medians.
Over a thousand plants were planted and over $700 was received to purchase tools, soil, and so forth for the completion of the program.
