One of BAY’s main focuses is to engage youths in sporting activities and through the YDDR Project, the organization was able to host Belmopan’s first every U-21 Basketball Tournament. The four month-long tournament saw the participation of 80 young men from Belmopan and surrounding communities who competed in six teams for the title of U-21 Basketball Tournament Champions. Team names depicted an anti-drug theme and teams were also expected to conduct community service projects. The 2013 tournament is now BAY U-21 annual basketball tournament. Hundreds of young men have since participated and benefited from the tournament.
